Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park training records
are designed by the area teams, and vary slightly across the park.
Typically, the documentation tracks the trainer, the animal, and the
behavior trained. Occurrences of aggression are noted and described.
Likert scales (e.g., 1-5 scale) are used to assess the animal’s
response to training. Further, in some cases the trainer is required to
assess progress towards goal on a 1-10 scale. These assessments allow us
to estimate the animal’s (and the trainer’s) learning curve.
